Recently I had the great pleasure of working a styled shoot with Andrea Cohen, owner of Chuppah Studio. For our shoot, she provided one of the most beautiful chuppahs ever seen. I was in awe after browsing through her collection – what variety and each one so unique!
With an MFA in sculpting from Tyler School of Art and an extensive art background; it’s no wonder her chuppah designs are so stunning. Back in 2010 when Andrea’s sister became engaged, Andrea offered to make the chuppah as a special gift for the 4th of July wedding. After the chuppah unveiling, the response Andrea received from family and friends was overwhelming. So much so that she was inspired to open the Chuppah Studio and has been creating personalized chuppahs for friends, family and design-savvy future newlyweds ever since.
Her collection designs are a nod toward traditional, while creating a contemporary look that fits a sophisticated and delicate style. The rental canopies for a freestanding chuppah are laser-cut from a white faux-suede so the canopies hang just right. No matter the lighting conditions, the graphic presence becomes a dramatic wedding element. Do you have a certain chuppah design in mind? Andrea has the ability to custom design a gorgeous canopy just for you!
If you need to incorporate a chuppah into your wedding, I highly recommend checking out Chuppah Studio! It’s the place where your chuppah design comes to life!
